Abstract
|
|
|
With 17 health centers in the Kang-won province, the study was made mainly of the population, personnel’s of the centres, -numbers of vaccinated peoples, and the distribution of infectious diseases, which was examined during the month of December 1970.
The results were summarized as follows:
1) The distribution of medical personals registered in the centres as of 1970 could be classified according to their works as follows: physician, 33 dentists, 4 ; herb doctors, 9 ; pharmagists, 18 ; nurses, 52 ; ad-nurses, 150 ; technicians, 27 administrative personnels, 179 and medical practioners, 180.
2) The distribution of infectious diseases which occured in the community showed that 247 peoples were infected with typoid fever, 12 with diphtheria and 55 with Japanese encephalitis during the year of 1968. 12 cases of cholera, 17 cases of diphtheria, and 4 cases of Japanese encephalitis were reported during the year of 1969 ; 228 cases of cholera, 116 cases of typoid fever and 9 cases of diphtheria occurred in 1970 as well as no case of Japanese encephalitis.
